Stainless Steel 316 Seamless Tubes are molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel tubes manufactured without a longitudinal weld for applications where strong corrosion resistance and reliable mechanical performance are required. Grade 316 is identified by UNS S31600 and is widely used in environments containing chlorides, moisture and aggressive industrial chemicals.
The addition of molybdenum gives Stainless Steel 316 improved resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion compared with conventional 304 stainless steel. Its chromium and nickel content further supports resistance to oxidation and general corrosion, while the austenitic structure provides good toughness, ductility and fabrication characteristics.
Stainless Steel 316 Seamless Tubes can be supplied according to applicable ASTM and ASME specifications. Common requirements include ASTM A213, ASTM A269 and ASME SA213, depending on the intended service and product requirements. Different outside diameters, wall thicknesses, schedules, lengths and finishes can be supplied to suit specific applications.
These tubes are used in chemical processing, marine equipment, petrochemical facilities, pharmaceutical machinery, heat exchangers, food-processing systems, water-treatment plants and industrial process equipment. Their seamless construction and molybdenum-enhanced corrosion resistance make them suitable for demanding fluid and process environments.
Kamal Steels is a Manufacturer and Stockist of Stainless Steel 316 Seamless Tubes, supplying standard and customized tube dimensions for domestic and international projects. Material certificates, inspection documents and testing options can be provided according to customer requirements.
